Black Point 11/30

Nice day on the water, met up with Chetbango, new to our madness, hey dude, nice meeting you. He's another firefighter so will be open to weekday hookups.
Anyway, marked quite a few fish, sturg Im pretty sure, damn they make a big arch, and a BIG one rolled no more than 5 feet from me, right between us, but no love...
The ramp under 37 is being renovated, wont be done till new year, but I asked the harbor master at Port Sonoma about letting me use the dock and he was cool about it, I strongly suggest asking someone in the office if its OK to put in, we dont want to piss them off. Harbor masters can weild thier power well and the last thing we need is for them to turn against the 'yakers.  My 2 cents.
No sign of oil whatsoever.

I had fun, although not even a bite. The weather was sunny, cool, flat water. Nice meeting you Guitarzan, I look forward to more outings with you and all the NCKA gang. I'll bring more Guinness.  By the way, the Sheriff's boat and helicopter and Coast Guard boat were looking for a reported boat fire in the area, but found nothing.

when looking over the bay in that direction on saturday, it was GLASSY in appearance   

Ben~ i'm coming from the vallejo side of the bridge, do I go over it and are there any signs to follow? or is it pretty self explanatory once over the area?

No, you dont go over it, the ramp over there is under construction, go into the marina, the office/ harbor masters bldg is clearly marked, they are ok with yaks putting in and will tell you where as long as you ask first. I talked to a guy named Buck. Funny thing- I talked to 3 different guys from power boats there and not only do they know about NCKA, but when I said I was Guitarzan, they all said " Oh yeah! Ive read your posts!" So Im sure they know about the Fish hunter too!
Theres a good bait shop there too with ghosties and grass and whatever. Ben

WTF!!    i thought only fishing kayakers in northern california were allowed!..... BILL!!! we got lurkers in boats too?!
