Incoming tide, 3 rings, 4 hours work, 6 keepers. FUN.
Windy, chilly, sunny.
I might buy a pot today...

Mako from Willits,

Which one on the water last Saturday morning was you?

I was the skinny old guy with binoculars watching the DFG wardens very closely.

Did you see the guy who was diving for crab off a green kayak?   Or was that just you?

We just got four of these new crab rings here today if anyone in NCKA wants to help me break them in:

http://www.boatersworld.com/product/479952186.htm

They seem well made and well balanced between the weight of the rings and the floats. I have some stinky oily theories about bait that I would like to test.  We live near Mendocino Town about a mile from the mouth of Big River.   Send me a PM if you like.

-Matt

Kayakjack- we're getting dungeness crab.
Hobiesport- that wasn't me last saturday, the 24th. I was out yesterday though. Busy place on a nice saturday. Not as many keepers, only 1, lots of boat traffic w/ outboards.

Mako1,  Do you do ocean crabbing?  We just got our new rings and now I'm designing a pvc frame to hold them on the yak which will include some foam outriggers so I don't flip when pulling pots.

Great White; what kind of crab pots will you carry?  I'll try to send some business your way if someone wants some new pots.  Reguards, -Matt and Mariko in Mendocino
