Launched around  8:00 to a large wave height but great water conditions beyond the surf line.  It took a while but I timed it and got through the surf line.

I trolled an apex for approximately 1 hour for a 0.  The water was perfect and it would have been nice to have company to venture farther west.  There was no wind and no chop.  on my way in I did see what I hoped to be a 4 ft thresher shark jump in front of me approximately 30 yards.  It had a white belly with a dark back.

Lets hope it was a thresher.  Paddled in faster after that as my mind started racing.  I guess I am still green to this ocean kayaking thing.

Thanks for the report Jason -

I'm pretty sure it was a T-shark. Cpyak spotted a jumper last weekend.

Did you see any bait out there?

IMO: if you don't see any of the Dory's out there, it's not a good sign  :smt002

Didn't mark any bait. The deepest I got was 60 ft.
