Last night my "Better Half" said I sounded a little congested and maybe I should think about skipping the lake and rest up a bit.  All I can say is what a beautiful day on the lake.....glassy smooth......warm air.......just what I really needed! My Son (holy toledo) caught the first fish around 10:00 followed up by mine about 11:00.....him again around 12:00 and the final fish by me at 2:00.  All fish today came on minnows..fought like crazy..and were released for another day. We spoke to other kayakers and all were doing about the same.

Good to meet you Alan thanks for the offer of crab. Got to the bait shop and looked in the tank empty oh wait there is a couple just enough bought the last 5. Trolled shad rap to Vinegar picked up one off the tanks, switched to minners and caught nada but the minners were nervous all day. Switched to drop shotting all I could manage were a few dink smallies. Very slow fished till about 3 got another striper crossing from Crappie to the launch on an old lure Whopper Stopper all fish C&R. Love the GTS seat. Awesome weather and Moon rise on the way home.

Fishbeware,

What type of rod holders are those on the 'yak? Looks like a better way to keep the rod in a "good" location instead of having to lean forward to get to it. I too have a Mirage aka "Lead sled," but love it and that may be a better scheme for me witrh those holders.

Splashdown, The rod holders are by Ram Mount. Hobie now carries this line of mounts but........the base on the hobie unit is smaller. Just  Google " ram mount fishing rod holders"  ...........scroll down past the porn sites and you should find a list of distributers. We make our own backing plate out of  scrap plastic ..I will post a picture later..........
