Went up to Fort Ross with a couple friends from the lab (Levi and Jenna) and met up with Rockhopper and his buddy Bob.  A few others showed up but I missed introducing myself when I ran the truck up the parking lot.

The morning started off nice, very little swell coming into the cove and only a slight breeze.  After an hour or so the wind picked up and we called it quits after another hour of fast drifts.  (Note to self: buy/make drift shute).

I ended up with a couple sub-legal lings, a few small blues, a nice little cabezon and a vermilion.  The later two will make a nice dinner.

Levi ended the day with two legal lings including this beast.  I think he also released several small under-lings and small blues.

Levi's lingasaur was 37" long and weighed in a pound or two shy of 20 lbs (using the bathroom scale method).

Here's another photo of Levi and the ling on the water.  You can even see historic Fort Ross in the background.
