First time to the Pittsburg public marina, got there around 8:30AM, horrific fog on hwy4 from Hercules to top of the hill, then clear skies. After walking around a bit and being happy not to find too many scuzzy public marina types hanging around, I parked in the lot between the bait shop and bathroom, easy wheel down to the launch ramp/docks. Did some prospecting of sloughs and flats for one dinker striper in the hours of flood, and then two nice fish in 5' weedy areas late afternoon after the ebb got strong. Wind never got above a breeze. And my truck was still there when I got back.

Anyone know how to check fog conditions on the delta between Martinez and Oakley?

Nice report, Mike.

Try national weather service for your area - pull up a "2 km visible" satelite view or there's also one called "2 km fog product".  It might not dial you in close enough, but it's a start on figuring out where the fog is/isn't.

Call the bait shop.
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.
