If I get a wheeleez cart can I put regular wheels on it for when I'm not at the beach? I would use the cart for non beach mostly but I would like to have a cart that will work in sand when necessary. I wouldn't want to wear out the expensive less durable wheels in day to day use.

I'm pretty sure you can.

The difference in the width between the different wheels would require axle extensions or spacers to go from one to the other. Just buy the wide ones they will work for everything. Holes are easy to patch with their repair kit.

Ditto.  The grey wheels are remarkably tough.

Yeah, what the two experts said!  :smt044   But seriously, I humbly defer to the veterans!  They have been doing this A LOT longer than myself.

I hear your concerns on wearing out the wheels, but really, just forget it.  there's no way your gonna put that much mileage on em to, it'd take years.  just stick with the balloon tires.

You can also do the opposite... buy a regular cart and retrofit Rolleez wheels to it by running a solid axle throught the hollow axle. I did this with my cart and switch wheels delending on the surface. The rolleez roll fine on concrete but regular wheels roll easier and are less prone to puncture if you run over glass.

I've taken my WheelEz over a bunch of different surfaces. Even accidentally ran over sharp stuff like glass and shredded metal fragments on the side of the road. So far so good. Them tires be pretty strong. If you're worried about punctures coat the inside with Slime.

I was thinking the same thing but for a diff. reason. I will doing some drifts down the river and then pulling back to the car   2 or 3 miles on a hardpack gravel road. The sand wheels are pretty sluggish and the knobbys are much easier to pull on a hard flat surface, plus they take up less room in the boat. I was going to adapt my cart for the knobbys like Scott but I figured it would cost about $30/35. I bought a complete cart for $50 from one of the guys on the site, much less work and now I have a backup/loaner.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.
