As Christmas draws near, I am filling out a wish list and need your help.

It looks as though the standard wheeleez cart (what most of the veterans have & recommend) comes with 30cm/11.8" wheels.  Has this always been the case because I saw several carts at BAMIII and it seemed like they had the 42cm/16.5" sized wheels.  Am I wrong?  Maybe my ability to judge size is way off.  Or is it possible that they come with the 30/cm/11.8" wheels and people have upgraded to the 42cm/16.5" sized wheels.  At $119 per wheel, that would be quite an investment.

Sean, do you have any carts in stock?  I know that you had run out over the summer.  If this is a present I receive for Christmas, I would want it purchased from GWKC.

I currently have the Hobie Wheeleez scupper cart and am looking to ditch it ASAP.  I wold have loved to have been able to take advantage of the awesome club/site deal but $$ was tight?

Thanks for any and all help!

Michael

So maybe my first post was a little wordy and convoluted.

Have Wheeleez carts always come with 30cm/11.8" sized wheels?  Or did they use to come with 42cm/16.5" sized wheels?

Thanks,

Michael

Mike you want the 11.8". Thats the size that comes on the factory kayak karts. In that size you can stash them in or on most SOT's if you need to. The 16" size would probably roll a little easier because of the diameter, but they are huge and would have to be left on the beach or walked back to the car. The 16's are what people use on the beach karts for hauling ice chests and camp gear.

Mark,

Thanks for the valuable info.  On my scupper cart, I have the 22cm/8.7" and everybody's wheels seem SO much larger that I just assumed that others had the 42cm/16.5".

Great point about the 42cm/16.5" not fitting into the front hatch.  I do plan on storing my wheels and cart in the front hatch and it never crossed my mind that the big boys probably won't fit.  I'm glad I asked!

Thanks again,

Michael

Thanks Sean.  Should I be lucky enough to have somebody get it for me, I'll direct them your way.
