After the last few times folks have posted about their trips to the Cosumnes River Preserve it has made me want to go back again. So, this Sunday I'll be at the Cosumnes fishing and paddling with my wife. Anybody is welcome to join up with us. The gate for the parking lot opens at 8:00 am and we plan on being there right when it opens.

If you go, you should bring a cart or be prepared to carry your yak approximately 200 yards to the launch. The launch is from a small dock and the path is paved all the way. Also know that there are only two places within the reserve you are allowed to get out of your boat. You can check out the Cosumnes River Preserve web site and they have a map that you can download that shows you where you can get out.

See you there!  :smt006

Wish I could join you, but I'll have to take a rain check because I'll be on my way to the Islander. CRP is a jewel...enjoy!

I'm not sure if I'll see anybody out there tomorrow, but I wanted to update this post. My wife would like to sleep in tomorrow, so we probably won't be at the parking lot until 10:00 tomorrow.  :smt015

I might be there tomorrow. Depends on how the old elbow feels in the morning.

If I don't see you...have a nice time.

Update! I won't be there today.

We got a lot of rain yesterday. It might move a few salmon up the river.

Hope the water isn't muddier than usual for you.

Have fun....Al
