From Marina/Seaside, turn off at
Del Monte Blvd, go past Del Monte Beach (kind of opens up there)head around to the right toward the aquarium and follow the road around the harbor and Cannery Row (don't go down the Row or to the Aquarium), and keep going on the main street a couple of miles then turn down to the water at Lover's Pt, follow the road along the shore almost to Pt Pinos - if you get to where you can see the large public outhouse on your left at the golf course, go back a couple of blocks - the Coral
St beach is probably called that because it's where Coral St runs into the water, but it's been a long time since I checked it out on Google maps.   There is a low rock wall (shoulder high, bring a carpet, etc. to protect your yak) and then maybe 10-20 ft to the water.

Hey Bulldog,

Sorry for the late response but didn't read your thread until this morning. Went to Coral to meet up with you and give it a try. I guess you changed your mind. Anyway, nothing to report. Bad swell. Definitely a rollercoaster out there  :drool2. Went by San Carlos on the way home. Looked OK. Might try there in the morning. If I do, will not be there until about 07:30 or so. Let me know if you can make it.

Ben

Well, that goes to show you that you just have to look.  Garlic.com had NW swell 4 ft 11 secs. I didn't think it would be that bad - or was it windy too?

A little breeze and low fog. The swell felt more like 6-7' at 8-10 sec. Who knows. I know it was a bit of a roller for me. The two other boats out there would pop up and then disappear.

Yeah, just now checked the Mntry Bouy for about 7am today, and it was about 6-7 ft at 11 secs with about 5 ft of wind swell.
