cool pics! I always have questions if you don't mind,  :smt002.

how long is the wire leader? do you re-rig much or does that last through a few fish?

why is that one dorado so dark looking?

thanks,
J

From what I have heard, Dorados loose their bright colors right away - when they out of the water. I could be wrong about the time frame though....

yo what up J.  my steel leader is about 8-10 inches long it goes to a small swivel and then to floro carbon.  my three hooks are also steeled together. these rig will last a few depending. i have caught as much as 5 fish without retying. and mooch is right the mahi loose there color after time out of the water. its amazing how they look when you first pull them out. from there the color will deteriate quicky. aloha Boogie

Boogie-D, thanks for the answers on the rigs, helps me visualize the fun a bit more sometimes!

I guess with wahoo and big barracuda, the wire is a requirement.

eyes as big as silver dollars. maybe you have to go mono for the tuna? no idea really, I was trolling on a party boat in the florida keys, 8' of wire, hooked a skipjack and a blackfin.

maybe you should keep a lighter flouro rig ready to go for that situation. get bit first, then worry about landing next time?
