went out in a boat with a buddy today.
Fished Muir most of the day-- within easy, easy, easy reach of the beach.  Lots of  shakers- like 12-15, along with 25, 22, 20 lb fish- plus another 20ish that we lost at the boat.   fish came on either RSK or wm apex.  Looked that bottom and top of the tide was best, running just along the edge of the rip that forms just south of that boiler rock.  All fish caught 30-35 feet in 45-60 feet of water.

Yeah... just tell them that Joel's nickname is "Dead Man Paddling" (the name was given after watching him rodeo through some big sets at Linda Mar last year)...

...what better than for each kayak to come with a little tag that says "tested by Dead Man Paddling".

ahh...don't be too jealous of me-- i have to pay for mine.  Allen is the one that gets the freebies.

That other guy to be jealous of is ChuckE- winning that nice new boat last year.

Al works for his, all those boat shows and demos he has to do. I bet that if you started to add up the gas and expenses you don't come out too far ahead. But hey it's still great to say " I'm sponsored!"

We should put together an albie trip on the Wild Wave one weekend. I think we could get enough to charter the boat out.

I might be into that. Never fished Albacore before, I hear it's a crazy time. Usually I'm trying to get away from the land based insanity by fishing, but it could be fun to cross albacore off my Things Not Yet Caught list.

always wanted to do albacore, but I don't want to go solo on one of those trips.  The wife loves seared tuna...

I'm all for some blood on the decks!  ALbies, albies- what fun.  I went out once last year and we got 9 and a half for 11 hook ups.  Was awesome, couple of doubles...

can't wait to go again this year
