Looks like decent conditions for HMB on Sunday. I'd be doing a solo run probably arriving around 6:30-7am.

Anyone else considering HMB for Sunday?

Definite maybe - gotta see how my schedule works out.

Pack a squid jig - reports on Coastside this week were that the squid boats were out in the area. Anyone who's been out recently see any signs of squid? Moo?

Cheers,
Brad

There are squid boats out in Hmb this week.  Squid is there, but might not be kayak reachable.

Any reports? SC was pretty spitty in the AM, but got better.

I went 5/2 - spitty, a little windy, and very slow bite. Managed 4 rockfish, 1 lingcod, squid boats were far offshore. Saw them working closer to pescadero on 5/3.

I went 5/3.

Had a fair amount of rain which surprised me some. Swell and wind were fine until just after noon when I looked over at Mavericks and saw it was getting a little bigger over there. The ride in was a little sporty but all in all not too bad.

I was happy to fish with a couple of other guys I met out there. Explored new spots (for me) and did fair. I caught several rockfish I didn't keep and ling which I did. One of the guys got a nice halibut and a monster ling. Maybe 38/39 or so.

Had a good time, off the water by 1 or so.
