Hi everyone,

I have a group of four guys looking to do a day trip kayak fishing somewhere on the coast within a reasonable driving distance from the Bay Area. Mostly experienced fishermen, but we all only have a little experience experience fishing from a kayak. Since none of us have our own, I'm looking for an outfit that provides everything except your fishing license.

We want to do this with pedal kayaks, and the fact that there are four of us is the only thing preventing us from booking with Monterey Bay Kayaks. Three of our group had a great time with MBK last year, but three people is the max they can accommodate when using the pedal kayaks.

I know this is a tall order, but I thought I would check in on here to see if there were other options I wasn't aware of.

Thanks in advance for any info!

Kyle with https://kayakfishingsonoma.com/ is a great guide who provides everything you need but I don't think he is able to accommodate more than 2 people. I would still contact him and ask.

How about if you borrow a pedal kayak, then go out as a group of 4 with MBK?
I don't like stuff that sucks.

Thanks for the idea. I reached out to Kyle yesterday, and unfortunately he can only accommodate two guests. I'm going to keep him in mind for a future trip though, so thanks for the suggestion.

I have a pretty short friend list—and the list for "friends with pedal kayaks" is non-existent  :smt044

MBK said they could put their guide in a paddle kayak, and all of us would be in pedals, but that would be with the understanding it would limit some aspects of the trip. I'll have to mull it over with the other guys.

there is a new player in town.  the Sonoma coast.  he should be up and running shortly.  he will trailer 4 kayaks for guests - I think.

I can tell him you're looking for a guide?
