Anyone have direct experience with the Atlantis 275 VHF pictured below? How does it compare to the Standard Horizon HX210 (seems like the most popular model amongst kayak anglers)?

Any strong opinions on which one is better?

I like that the Atlantis is IPX8, but not sure about the long term durability.

Cheers

ICOM has been the gold standard forever. I am still using my ICOM handheld that is now 15 years old.

Thanks for the input.

I did go ahead and pick up the Atlantis 275 and despite it being listed on Amazon as IPX8 it is actually IPX7 per the manual.

I used it out on the water and overall it seems ok although when I was on channel 16 the sound / volume was pretty low despite the VHF on full volume.
