I’ve switched up my car topping system and have a lackrack carrier for sale - it’s set up for the aero at slide track system now but have the clamps to mount on other setups. Used for a season but never left on the car between trips. $200 for NCKA.
Cheers
Brad

Bump - did some holiday cleaning and want to get this out of storage. It can fit on aerobars that have the t-tracks or I have the adapters that clamp around the bars.

Looks like the new price is up to $399 now - https://lockrackus.com/products/lockrack-universal-watersport-carrier?variant=44297772007587

Cheers,
Brad

This was on my holiday wish list, but Santa didn’t bring it to me… I still want one badly. Just to clarify, you have the adapters so this would fit on my Subaru outback? How many keys come with it? Where are you located?

Yes - I have the adapters (8 overall) and at least two keys (but I think there may be more - just have to look). I'm in SF - outer sunset by the Zoo/Ocean Beach.

Cheers,
Brad

That is a great deal. I been using one for almost 2 years with at least 10k miles on it. Love it. I don't want to go back to straps  :smt044

Do you use bow and stern tie downs still with the Lockrack? I don't normally bother, but should I?

I have been using these for several seasons now, they are very solid but if you are running a longer kayak I can imagine a situation when side winds could be an issue. The extra time to tie down the bow and stern ensures safety for others, my kayak and myself.

I prefer redundant safety this way I don't end up being separated from my kayak.

Yes. I mainly use bow and stern tie downs in case of roof rack/cross bar failure so it does not fly off of my car if it does.
