The guided deer hunts on my property are coming up fast. I am headed up to the property next Tuesday (23) and I will be up there until Nov. 4. The rest of my board members will be up there till Nov. 11. You are more than welcome to come on up and hang out, camp, etc. The reports I have seen say that the Eagle Lake bite is wide open. With this rain washing food into the water, it is probably going to keep going. Eagle Lake is 18 miles from our front gate.

I just bought a poptop camper last week and that makes trips to the lakes more feasible for me.  I was wondering if there are places to put up a camper near you and how to best learn to fish Eagle Lake.  I have a friend on the forum, Alex/Alien who is also interested in a possible trip up your way.

Hi Doug, I have thousands of acres where you can set up a camper. There are also a couple campgrounds in the area. But they are farther away from the lake.
As for getting to know the lake, I don't know. I have been driving to the property for close to 20 now and have never stopped at the lake to fish. I am always on a mission.
But, this first hunt on my property is looking to be a short one. They start on Saturday and are planning on heading home Tuesday. So, that will give me a few days on my own. I am planning to throw the prowler up on top of the truck. Not going to take a lot of gear, just the minimum. But, I figure if I have the time and the fish are biting......
