Paul texted me Tuesday evening and he knew my plan!  "Crabbing tomorrow?"  "Yessah!"  Back to Tomales we go.

This round was different than the previous visit.  My spots weren't producing so I kept "leap frogging," JohnZ's term, and still couldn't get a keeper but 2. I had a paddle back deadline of 11 so I had to consider contentment of beauty and yak time as a limit.  Not so!

Paul was in an unexplored lane and he found em'!  I moved all my gear and I left with 9, some fatties, barely bustah's, and one slot keeper.  Paul had a ten bag!  What an addict.  :smt005 What a blast, paddling back at 11!  Mission accomplished! Pics provided for JoeDub :smt006 :smt007

Who knows where they'll be next and what weather window gets me there.  Thanks Paul for findin em'!  Two are better than one for this adventure. :smt006

Thanks to Eddie for taking me to his hot spot.
Crabs were much bigger and cleaner.

I'm thinking of going tomorrow, hoping rain hasn't driven them all away.

Also thinking of avoiding all the usual spots and getting creative in where to drop.

My honey holes always produce....     (hundreds of undersized crab that people have thrown back lol)

Will see how it goes. Trying to set my expectations low so I can be potentially pleasantly surprised haha

Good job you guys!  Eddie, the crab must have run back home after you and Paul found them in a new zone.  I hit "your spot" again, which seems to have become a community hole based on all the boats and kayaks there on Friday, and had a limit in 2 hours of pulls every 15 minutes on my two hoops.  paddling back to the truck at 9 AM.   :smt003
