Congrats on the new kayaks!

I wish I could say I’ve never gone intending to purchase one kayak and ended up with 2  :smt044

Congratulations! The OldTowns are great kayaks. I picked up a 132 ePDL last October and absolutely love it.
I fish, therefore I Cuss and Lie!

So, you went to buy a kayak with your wife and she insisted that instead of buying 1 kayak, you had to buy 2 kayaks? If so, you must live in an alternative universe from the one that I live in...

He eyes started to glaze over when she saw it in person, as did mine!
She had a case of not wanting to be left behind, and when I made a couple of comments that I felt justified the 2nd kayak she bit,
So we took them out last Monday, Not going to lie their is going to be a learning curve,
I had flashbacks as a kid running a tiller out board, you know stealing in the opposite direction.
I was able  to stand in for a wile, I shook like a dog trying to pass a pine cone, I hope with some practice I get better,
We were both worried  about the first hour that we may have made a mistake purchasing thies boats,
The third hour we stared to get the basics down.
Mrs  Clearlakekid was way better in the beginning then I was.
I told her that the fishing ability is  amazing!
She told me that she was only going to say it once and promised not speak of it again, " I actually enjoy fishing out of this kayak over the Drifter.
I told her to watch her dam mouth!
But she is totally correct.
We need more time on them, we have a 5 day trip to albion at the end of July, I wouldn't be comfortable in the ocean with  this kicker boat, she agreed.
Having a paddle in my hand when it's rough  is like a binki for a baby.
She had a good point that if we aren't comfortable buy July we can take the Drifters
