Enquiring minds want to know...

Are you kidding me. Herb is like trying to pry an abalone off a rock after you have already messed up and touched it by accident when trying to get intel.  :smt005 jk Herb!!

The only thing i can tell you about, Herb is that i once seen him get dumped at the GS turney  by a whitecap at the green can and then proceed to re-enter his kayak as fast and precise as a sea lion. Now that was impressive.

They did good. Heard slow bite in AM but picked up around noon.

It was super slow in the morning and a fast northern drift. Bite started picking up around noon. I bagged a nice 33” ling and a nice verm, the rest just assorted RF. Swell was low but a bit bumpy and the wind forecast was way off. It was very windy, but somewhat manageable. Wife caught her share of fish and managed not to get seasick, so she’s happy. Freezer is stocked up now for weeks to come and I started saving some carcass and guts for the upcoming crab opener.

Haha, to be honest I was surprised myself. I never practiced self rescue on the Revo16 and I was expecting it to be harder given it’s a narrow tippy kayak and on top of that we were on that crazy washing machine that day. Glad you guys were around in case it went sideways. I think the building swell behind me helped boost up my body when I tried to climb up.

Sounds like a good haul. Great to start stocking up on crab bait too.
Thanks for the report!
