Today's conditions were great.  Only 4 ft swell with over 10 seconds period and no wind.  DartBaiter and I launched earlier and were joined by Nawm and Frank shortly.  DartBaiter and I headed straight North and got some vermilions from the start.  Nawm and Frank headed to deeper water and got some big lingcods.  We all have a limit of lingcods and some rockfish.  After the Norm gave a nice beer to drink, we chatted for a while about living on the Mendocino Coast.  Looking forward to fishing with these great guys soon.

Great day at Russian Gulch!  Good to see you as always, Paul, and great to meet you, Cliff!  Frank and I tried some deeper water pinnacles outside and had a steady pick on some nice lings and assorted rockfish.  Frank caught a beast of a canary, at over 5 pounds and 21 inches plus!  My biggest Ling was right at 20 pounds and 36 inches.

Favorite part of the outing was meeting new people.

It’s the part that sticks w me anyways.

I hope the ocean is tranquil for the 4th!
