Richmond Skunk, Again

Time was short again, so I stayed local and tried again on the reports of Halibut and strippers in the

 Richmond area. Nada,  saw a few PB's working the area and 1 Party boat towards the Richmond Shoals

 area, but it was a bit rough out there for a yak with unpredictable winds. I was right about that.

 It was doable with some wind and rain/chop till about 1pm, then in a Flash it got UGLY Quick!!!!

I was really thankful I was close to my launch spot and had the wind blowing me in the right direction or

 this might have been trouble.  Bummer to be Skunked Hard again out there,

 But really fun to get out in that weather on the Water

 Think I'll be trying somewhere else .......... Danglin

 The reason I posted this thread was for others, especaily newbies, to be Respectful of our  Muddy Bay.

 With Sturgeon season approaching/Here,  Keep in mind that this water can be more dangerous than the

 Ocean. Winds/Current and swells can come from anywhere and blow you out to who knows where,

 Dress warm ........... Danglin

Great attempt and from the pictures you were in the right area.  Don't worry time spent in the water is putting in your dues.  With all the small fish this year it can only mean improved fishing in the future.

yeah, looked nasty today, so I didn't go out...
so sorry that skunked, but I've been same... one day we'll get out of it!

Skunk of any kind is an investment in the future. thnks for the report Don.
 THAT PLACE SUCKS(for trying to predict the conditions)     maybe one day the stars will align.
