Thought I'd give it a try today even though it is too early for Tomales from yellow can to north of Hog. 7:30 dropped the line. 10.00 I quit and returned to launch. Plenty of bait around but nothing in it. I could see a few PB's from Lawsons heading Inverness way and figure there are a few fish there. I thought there might be one in my favorite spots but not to be. South wind to begin the day then mild NW kicked in as I left.

I was wondering when the baby reports would begin.

I like to read the Lawson’s Landing Fishing Report, and it sounds like it’s very slow for halibut. I like the way that he ends the most recent report: “The fishing may get better or worse. … But it will change.”
