Curious if anyone cartops two kayaks on a crossover SUV or equivalent. Any advice or photos are appreciated!

I have a trailer now, but one good way to do it with a smaller vehicle is J-hooks for one yak and just mount the other next to it either upside down or upright depending on the model .

Heck Yeah, I have enough space for a j-rack on the other side to fit a third
I made sure to purchase the Yakima bars long enough just for this :smt044

We have a long running post for how people transport their yaks, it's very very long though.  But for inspiration I thought the double AIs on a VW is a pretty good start: https://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=14071.345  :smt003

This page had a crossover with two: https://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=14071.315

I’ve done a similar set up to Johnny ab. One in j hooks, the other just  set up as usually upside down on my cross bars. I have a set of j bar kayak holster if your interest in them for cheap, chameltoi. I live down near San Juan Bautista.
