Does your generator have a petcock to shut the fuel off?
Hey now, pet what?  :smt044

I guess that means shut off valve? No, it seems to be directly connected to the tank.  I didn't see a fuel filter either, but maybe I would need to take apart the rest of the chassis.  yeah, the pics are messed up, wont display, but seem to be able to download them.  I gave up, but maybe I can get them working in a bit.

Spark plug looks decent. Air filter looks good but should be slightly oily to the touch. Clean it with dish soap. Let it dry. Place in a Zip-Lock bag. Add a little oil and squeeze until the filter is completely coated. You can get Air Filter Oil at any motorcycle shop. Typical that there is no fuel petcock or filter. If there's room, you can add a in-line petcock and filter. Then you wouldn't have to drain the Float Bowl after each use. Just turn the fuel off and let run till it dies. If the carb still gives you issues, two choices, tear it down and clean it or buy a new one. They are fairly cheap on amazon. Good luck with it!

My Yamaha 2000i was a beast to start.  Pulled the carb and cleaned it.  I use Dip-it.   My generator has two fuel shutoffs.   One on the fill cap, to prevent spills and a knob on the front of the generator that cuts off the flow.   I always Tuen off the front knob and let the generator run out the fuel.   When I pulled the carb, there was like a gelatin on the carb intake.

Hey Al.  Looks like we got the same generator.  Drain the tank completely thru the carb.  Little pink hose.  even put a cup of good gas thru.  Should start right up.
