Thanks to the hard work of bsteves the 2024 AOTY website is up and open for business!

If you are getting an error when attempting to load the AOTY site is might be due to a conflict between the http and https address. The http address works, but for some reason the https address is having issues. If you are using safari or edge you can simply delete the s from https and it should work. If you are using chrome you have to go into your browser settings and deselect "always use secure connections" as well as "use secure DNS" If you are using other browsers then IDK, I'm not a computer person, I just enjoy fishing.

If you competed last year I have activated your account.

If you have never competed before reply here or send me a message and we will get you set up. It is a fun way to track your fishing progress and see how your luck (and skill) stack up against other kayak anglers.

Have fun in 2024 everyone.

And if you caught a fish between Jan 1 and now go ahead and enter it. The late start is not the fault of anyone catching fish so we will ignore the 2 week rule up till now.

Thanks for all your work on this. I agree it adds another level to the kayak fishing obsession. Variety is the spice of life and targeting 10 species categories gives so many options on any given fishing day.

Awesome! thanks! looking forward to another year, chasing the title, debating strategies (in my head) and fishing and kibitzing with friends - see you all on the water

Does anyone else, using Chrome, have access issues?
I disabled secure connection and DNS still I'm unable to access AOTY/DOTY.

I get the following message after clicking on AOTY:
>>
Not Found
The requested URL was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
>>

Thanks if you having any pointers on how to remedy fixing this error.

No problem with Chrome for me currently.  This problem was presented and fixed a couple months ago.

Try a copy and paste of this url into chrome:

http://aoty.norcalkayakanglers.com/

It may be how chrome treats redirects, trying to change it to https instead of http.

Many thanks to the efforts of ThreemoneyJ and Als (the admin.)!  I do appreciate your time on this. But, I quit.
Still doesn't work for me (changing https to http, restarting my computer, logout and login again., etc.) I can't get into AOTY to signup.
My solution is this:
I will take my photos with my Hawg measuring device, do my own pt. calculations and brag.  Bragging and ego are my issues    :smt001
My reason for wanting to do AOTY is to beat my point total from 2012 and to catch the largest Mac, Brown Trout, and other trout on all-time AOTY record.
I am going fishing today for Brown Trout (to catch a mini) and i will post it (I will be lucky if it is >9" in the lake).  Then tomorrow I will begin real Hawg fishing and post my catches.
Attached is an old photo of a 16+ lb. Lake Trout that I caught locally, but I am confident that I will catch his dad this year.  :smt005
