Great job having enough sense to turn around when things got sketchy.  In case you haven’t experience it yet, when you look at the forecast, please pay attention to the winds and remember that you have to paddle North to get back into the harbor at HMB.  I made that mistake my first year.  It took me about 30 minutes to paddle out to the crab grounds and 3 hours to get back to where I launched.

In general, the winds tend up pick up around noon there.  I try to get back in before the winds pick up.

Nice! When I was starting out surf fishing I saw people launching at Rockaway and I remember thinking to myself “Those people are crazy”. Now, well, I’m already checking the depth charts to be ready when the weather is nice again  :smt005
