Fort Bragg - PB Rockfishing 50F Report

One of my friends invited me to go rockfishing on his 18ft power boat yesterday.  We launched at 7 AM and arrived at the destination around 8:00 AM.  Started fishing using his electric reel, and got the first bite within 5 minutes at a depth of 450 ft.  We got our limits by 9:00 AM and headed in.  This was not as fun as nearshore fishing since we were only getting one type of fish.  He showed me how to clean the fish and we cleaned them together.  I can't wait until the nearshore season opens on Nov. 1.
I shared the fish with several neighbors and ate them tonight.  It was a very tasty rockfish.
