10/13 Shell Bank

Had a few hours to kill, and tired of chasing stripers all day for little, decided to see what the rains had done up on the shellbank area.
On the way out i spooked numerous large fish- couldn't figure out what they were, but the proximity to surface bait i suspect there were stripers.
Set up with bait on anchor....and in about 2 hours managed 3 sharks (including a 40" nice leopard), and 3 rays.  I missed what really, really looked like a pump (but i suspect was another shark).

Ah well- soon enough the dinos will move down

Them sharks are adrenaline pumpers!  Thanks for the report Steve.   

The Dinos are there NOW. We just need some fresh water (rain) to flush the bait stealer's out of the area. If you can get your bait to soak long enough there ARE sturgeon in the area. Good luck!!

I agree 100% with Captain Matt... just too much bycatch right now.  If the rain keeps coming, it might flush out the bait stealers a little earlier this year.

yeppers- i'm planning on a trip thurs on the outgo....that might help, along of course with the rain we are getting
