Mostly in a fwiw sorta way...
The stripers are pushed up the northern end schooling in the sunny spots.
I launched @Trancas crossing  and headed north.
Floated over 3 big schools in sub 5' waters.
Boated a couple of +16"ers and this +30" guy who really didn't want to meet me   he nearly straightened the hook with a light drag on the old mitchell 308.
Any day on the water  beats being in town.

I was thinking of getting out there last week, but got busy doing other stuff. Now I wish I had gone! Nice fish and thanks for the report!

Nice work, thanks for the report! Crazy how strong stripers are - I think they punch above their weight class for sure.

That's cool. 30" is pretty good for the river. I usually launch at the yacht club downtown. Been talking about launching up by trancas forever.

It's a bit of a walk, take wheels.
Low tide its firm but a little muddy.
Yea that guy was definitely bigger than I ever seen north of Kennedy.

eta
The Oxbow preserve " launch " ( if one could call it that) is less than stellar at low tide, as is the launch at the commons across the river under the bridge any time as the city does not maintain it.

Unfortunately,  I  had just finished cruising back into the launch pic #1...
It's also 12" deep.
It would've been awesome  tho...

I've been slapped a warning ticket for not launching from the designated launch site. Problem is they close it way before dark and you miss some of the best times of the day.
