Quick report here. Nice water to start the day and I went out to the bell buoy to chase a fish report from a few days ago. Kinda lonely out there by myself but I worked the area for an hour for no fish love and decided to go to the beach and went straight across from bell buoy to the Estero and begin working my way to Doran. First hit was probably a ling that fell off. Then another ling just sub legal. There were more than a few kayaker's as I kept moving south. Ran into Sledge and shared his spot and got a nice halibut there then kept moving to get past all the rocks where I lost three swimbaits. Finally got the second one, decent but not huge and called it a day and begin the trek back to the van. And then came the fog and I ended up way down the beach mistaking tent canopies for vehicles. Bigger surf there but landed fine and as as the fog lifted some I realized I really was way down the beach so tied down fish and the drive and launched and had a breaker just come over and absolutely soak me. Paddled back to van and landed and toted stuff up to van and came home. Log distance for me today but at least the wind didn't blow.

Way to stick to it and get a ling!
Impressive landing-relaunch-landing sequence too.

Nice report. I was out there that day too but in a pb. We fished north off of Salmon Creek for ling limits and 15 rockfish. Later in the day we fished in front of the Estero Americano for two bites and one keeper halibut. Everything was on swimbaits and irons.

There seems to be a lot of green thick algae in and around bodega harbor. Hopefully that junk clears out soon.

I was out again at Doran yesterday with my girlfriend for a non-fishing beach day. I spoke to two kayakers at the jetty parking lot. They said they had ling limits and some rockfish from around the jingle bell buoy south of seal rock. I also saw two kayakers coming in from the southeast. Hopefully they post a report.

Me and Adam went out Saturday and launched with Sledge and Reel Knots and a couple of other yakers! What a beautiful day on the water! Calm seas but that thick fog rolled in on us a couple of times. So thick I lost Adam 50' away from me. Had a fun game of Marco, Polo going!  :smt006  Was a great day on the water for me! Double limits, Lingcod and Halibut! All before 9:30AM! 30" and a 26" Hali, and 2 24" lings! but Adam fishing right next to me, pretty much the same set-ups...... caught a starfish. On this day my number was called. I have never landed a Hali in this area before and have been fishing this area for YEARS!! It was my day! I should have video out soon..... Stay tuned
