Russian Gulch 2024-8-16&17

This would be our last weekend camping at Russian Gulch before our move to Cleone.
 
We had a 2 PM meeting with the current property owner and decided to start fishing early.  Able to fish from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM, we arrived at our first spot and my wife's first drop. She got 23" vermillion, and a monster ling was chasing it.  I put her fish on a string and dropped my swimbait, and I got the ling and it was 33.5".  We got three more vermillions ranging from 20"-23".

 The second day was similar. We caught our limit of vermillion, one small ling, and several rockfish. We had to release two vermillions as they kept biting.  I was surprised at how active vermillions were for both days.
