I have heard that halibut limits are occurring regularly in capitola, but paddling there from the harbor is a big grind. anybody know how hard it is to launch from capitola these days? I assume parking is impossible (always is). what about beach launch.. is the wharf construction blocking access?

If I really wanted to fish there I would consider dropping the kayak off the pier with some ropes onto the sand and launch @ usual spot  :smt003
Carry the rest gear down.
Parking wise it's still the same.
