Sampled Mendo late last night with an E-boat for work.  We talk so much about the stripers I tought I'd share some pics of other nice stuff in the lake.

Jr. with a fat crappie from the East Branch area...

We zapped this honking cat in about three feet of water near the campgrounds on the north end.  This was really nice kitty.  I know what Joel is doing the next time he camps...

We caught a TON of fish.  Didn't get home until around 1:00 am.  It hurt to get up at 500 to go halibut fishing, but somebody has to do it.

Theres a mess of them in there.  Not too many people target them specifically.

He didn't catch it, I was in an electro-fishing boat...we shocked it!  It came out of the East Branch.  Going for stripers early, the are on.  Wanna play?

DUDE!

You didn't tell me about all those HUGE papermouths!

Holy Crap!

Time for a drive to Lake Mendo again!!!!

If people up there are too !#$!#%! to target fish like that, all the better tacos for me.

but really wasn't sure what to use

Kalin's Triple Threat jigs are the best artificial crappie bait I know.

Fish them on 2 or 4# test line.  Nothing heavier!  Weight of lead head is dependent on wind drift speed.

I prefer Texas Shad and lemon merainge and Acid Rain.
