Any one in South Bay have a telescopic pack rod that I might borrow for Costa Rica during ski week?

I have a little spiderman telescopic but i might try something in and around the surfzone at Tamarindo, need a lil more beef.

I got a couple telescopic rods you can borrow too if you can't get a hold of Allen.  PM me if that is the case.

I have a 4 piece I am taking to CR next week.   So, they do not have to be telescopic.   Where are you going in CR?   This trip we are Samara Beach and Cahuti near Limon.

Hey Bill, our place is in Tamarindo Beach.  Based from there we'll be going through an itinerary of a bunch of places and POI's.  Love to get your debrief upon your return, as fresh ground truth and personal observations so helpful.  Mostly, I want to know about any pervasive scams, physical/personal security, and shore fishing.  Meals and transportation are more or less handled.

I just got back from Vietnam (first ever trip) and the "tips" I got from family and friends was so far off base from my experience that I feel like I need to write a blog.  Holler if anyone wants the lowdown on my 11 days in country.

Tamarindo is probably the high crime area of CR.   Lots of foreign surfer bums there.    So watch your stuff.  When you go to the parks like Manual Antonio, high a guide and be in a small group.   They know where the animals are, like bats and you will see it’s more.   They have great spotting scopes.  If you get to Monteverde and like chocolate, get the chocolate fondue at the Treehouse, good restaurant, get the one for two.   Will feed 4!   We went to a beach, and can not remember which a ways north of Tamarindo.   Vendors on the beach with great grilled food.  The Casado in the diners is the daily special, and have never had bad.   No fishing license from shore.   On way south to Manual Antonio, you will need to stop at the Tarcoles Bridge.   Will be lots of vehicles parked.  You can see the saltwater crocs in the river and on the shore.
