Well it was really hard to make this decision, but I am calling it a year for rockfish in 2007 for me. :smt012 It was a great year, and enjoyed all the fishing with my NCKA friends. My wife and I will be fishing Del Valle this Saturday probably launching around 7 AM and targeting trout for 2 hours and stripers for 2 hours. Will be practicing my BAM fly fishing techniques so will hopefully not look too stupid out there "chucking" flys at BAM. We will be paddling a yellow P15 and yellow Trident. Company welcome.  :smt006

I will probably be out there.  Even when I get skunked, I have trouble staying away from Del Valle.  It helps when the police boat continuously harasses the PB'ers.  I will probably be trying my luck with the LMB just past Hetch Hetchy.  I need some pointers on striper fishing though. I have never caught one.  If I see you out there, I will have a couple of questions for you if you don't mind.

No problem although most of the stripers I have caught have been on live bait. What type of yak do you use.

I have an orange tarpon 120.  I will be there if I don't have to work.  I went out last week and only caught one trout.  I was targeting bass, but I will take whatever decides my lure looks tasty.  I caught it at the spot where I always catch fish (the shallow bay just past hetch hetchy).  I saw some surface activity in swallow bay, but they didn't like my swim bait.

Hey Sumo

Here is the trout plant info for DV. You may want to do some trolling also.

Pat

If you want to test drive the Trident, my wife probably wouldn't mind since 2-3 hours is all she usually wants to fish.
