Anyone have a launch spot and a plan they want to share for getting past the 5o fathom line? Planning deep water rockfish meetups?

Trying not to let my mind sink into a depression coming from the realization that it could be 7 months or more of nonrockfish/lingcod life.

This is going to be the new style of fishing.  Electric reels and heavy weights. I bet electric reels are going to be in high demand.

I guess they assume since we live in California we should just be able to afford a boat. Still don't get why they won't allow non motorized vessels to fish shallow. Nothing makes sense in this state anymore.

I have to disagree. In the 23 years that I've lived in this state, very little has ever made sense.
