Wheelees Beach Cart - Repair

I have used a Wheelees Beach Cart to transport my Hobie Oasis kayak for over five years.  It worked great, and been very happy with its performance.  However, during the last use, it collapsed, and I had to use a strap to repair it to use it temporarily.  The strap that restrains the frame opening wears off, as seen in the attached photos. 

I contacted wheeleez.com, but they were out of stock for the replacement strap.  Since I plan a trip soon, I decided to repair it myself. 

I ordered a Speedy Stitcher Sewing Awl, and I repaired the damage using strap material and added two additional straps.  I know my sewing skill is very poor, but hopefully, the straps will be strong enough to support my heavy kayak for many years.

You might want to inspect your strap to ensure it is not damaged.
