Hey everyone! I'm planning on fishing the Sonoma Coast for rockfish by launching from either Timber Cover or Ocean Cove from 8/11-8/13. My fiancee always feels more comfortable when I go with a partner so I am here to invite anyone that would like to join!

Thanks and good luck!

What's your plan for the weekend?  Do you live close by or are you camping somewhere?

I'm down to camp somewhere this weekend!

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

I might do ocean cove for a night but I only live ~2 hours away so I can also just make it a day trip.

Right on, living close to the coast is pretty cool, literally  :smt044.

What kind of kayak do you have?

I have the Old Town AP 120, I don't plan on going too far or deep though. Probably just by glass house.

I typically go with swimbaits, its just too messy dealing with any sort of bait on the kayak haha. So anywhere from 1-3 oz jig heads with either a paddle tail or a curly tail will definitely get the bigger rockfish/lings to bite.
