Yesterday I was doing some bass fishing near Los Gatos creek and saw someone spearfishing in the creek.  He was with his kid who was filming from the shore, definitely illegal, but I didn't want to get involved with someone holding a speargun.  In the future does anyone know if there is a phone number I should call to report such things?  I've ran into a few people doing illegal stuff in the past like using a cast net in local lakes or barbed hooks on barbless waters and let them know it wasn't allowed, but I was slightly worried to anger this guy since I was alone.  Other than that the weather was beautiful and I got a few fish to take the jig I was throwing.

Yeah it does not look safe at all.  I'd mostly be worried about stepping on broken glass or a piece of rusty metal.

Thanks everyone, I'll keep that number in my cellphone and give them a call next time I see someone doing something against regulations.
