Short story short. Big negative tide. Lots of moving water. Windy. No halibut. Lots of walleye perch that were around 10 inches, too big for bait but fun to catch. Probably caught 20+ which was fun.

The highlight was an easy clean launch even at that super low -1.5 tide.

That place is a little tricky, took me more than a few attempts over the years before I was able to get a keeper there. Paradise was less work to learn and the currents are more predictable. There's no fish a Ferry Point!

Thanks for the report.

I'm guessing it was the following seas on the way back. I find that lurching motion more nauseating than punching through waves with the wind in your face.

I've only caught one halibut at FP and it was on the inside of the channel. Speaking with guys in the lot, it seems they get them by bouncing around the inside area North of the pier.
ARW and OP definitely seem more consistent. But that could just be more lines in the water.

If a seagull poops on you, statistically it was no accident.

This is my experience as well.  The only keeper size I've caught there was last year, early season, near red #6. I've caught a few shakers in the inside area near the pier.
