Scwafish and I tried to pick up a striper or two with no luck .  The weather was a little windy but overcast.  We thought the bite was gonna be ON.....  Wrong...  The wind died down and the water temp was 66-69.  We didn't even see a boil...  On our way back we were greeted by the White Posse....

I will destroy you.  :smt003

Indeed we saw nothing. Then I broke the cardinal rule of Mendo.  I got off the water but didn't leave.  I walked with the family across the dam, only to see fish blow up where we last fished  :smt010 :smt010 :smt010  As Juan always says load up your boat and never look back...AMEN

So SCWA, how did the new Redington hot rod go? Any major first impressions?

Sean, what's powering your cam? Does the cam come provided with its own power pack?

Sean- that looks like a Viosport UW helmet cam. I had one that crapped out at the wp fitting in the salt. Ever have any issues with water entry?

Zee-Not enough time with the Reddington to say.  Definitely not used tothe whole shooting head thing.  Had a fish on for a moment this morning, but it came off  :smt010 :smt010

The cam is a Viosport, so far no issues and I have used it a lot.

Ok, it sucks that you 2 didnt have ANOTHER epic fishing experience at your local hunting grounds, but I have to confess that its reports like these that comfort me. Mostly due to the fact that Ive struggled at Mendo for so many months now.
Ive been hoping for a chance to get off a few more Mendo pictures before B3, but the randomness of my work hasnt allowed it. Last night we were in the area so I tried to rip off a few. This was at 3,500', about 140knts, and through one of the NVG tubes.  I was also late on the draw.
There are no words for how stoked I am that B3 will be sans creatures of fuel.
hooray for us!
