Definitely unique! If only I had enough space to store it...
Are you pondering what I’m pondering?

Before kayaks were made all divers used a very similar platform to dive from and they were great. This one looks home a,made??? but paint is hiding view.
Most of them were solod color. The deck had a raised access door for storing abalone and fish. For divers think they were best and IMO better than what we have today

One could convert it to a peddle drive effectively since it is fiberglass and a wood drive box for a Mirage drive can be glassed into the hull relatively easily. In that it is long and looks narrow, two light outriggers for stability need to be added. Be a fast moving craft. If I didn't already make a conversion from paddle to pedal I would be on it.

That's a light hall paddle board used by skin divers and only about 600 were produced they were 19 ft 6 in Long and you would lay on them and paddle with your hands and your dive fins.
They went over the top of kelp beds slicker than snot and are incredibly fast with a weight of about 50 lb s.
You would store everything in the hatch ,fish ,long and short spearguns , abalones and if you wanted to had enough room for two air tanks.
Some 300 of them were sold in Canada and the Caribbeans. Here's a couple pictures of them :smt001.

That would be a very fast boat

Not sure it’s a light hall though re the nose doesn’t look swept up enough but can’t tell from the pics

Mine is about same vintage (1968ish) but 16’ and 45lbs and debating whether to rehab it or give it away

$50 seems like a killer price even if it needs tlc. The glass in those is a lot tougher than nowadays

Well I thought of you when I saw it.  Believe it's the same brand as the upsweept nose model.  I didn't bite on it, and you already have one...

The guy was eager to get rid of it but I didn't want to drive...Rather go surfcast than go to Scott's Valley.

This one is so tempting Especially looking down the road when my boy runs off to college

I would need to lose a kayak or two out of three that are crowding up the backyard

Today at steamers I was thinking I need to carry a speargun out with me  The viz was incredible Was surprised to see a couple of kayaks out fishing

Neti pot Santa Cruz style
