Pretty freakin' amazing!

Whale breath is nasty, it makes me want to puke.

I learned that personally in HMB when a pod of humpbacks were there while I was trying to catch salmon.  My friends said I was super lucky to experience that.  I didn’t feel so lucky at the time with the stinky breath and one breaching a few times near me.  I started to paddle in until I saw a giant mouth bigger than my kayak surface at the harbor entrance.  It makes for a great story now, but at the time, it was kind of a high pucker factor.

Yes a good story indeed.

Last salmon season at HMB a whale (I think a humpback) rolled about 3 feet from my yak..... its wake pushed me and the yak sideways probably 3 to 4 feet and its tail nearly touched it..... I had to give my wetsuit a good cleaning when I got home.

What a rush that was..... would not have missed it for the world.  Made me think I should get a go pro as I have had some great scenery while fishing.
