Nice prehistoric! Can you use those big scale plates as conchos on a belt? Antioch has a Western store(?) for cowboy boots that may be able to hook you up?

I've seen some of your artwork on CCKF and I have to say: it's amazing!

Thank you Pat! I "think?" I affixed the URL to my sig line. Maybe you can remove it (the URL & pic) from your post above? I appreciate it, TIA.

Hi, may name is George, I am a fisherman and I wish to say a few things before I begin the twelve step program (but I will tell you now, it is a lost cause).

First, I guess(?) I'm not so swift with these Internet Forumalities! I thought I had introduced myself by posting a pic or 2 in that part of the Introductions section, but apparently(?) I can say more here, so ditch this post if you don't like reading my CO2 and go find my picture.

Being born in San Francisco was fortunate, so fishing is not new to me as I started very young. Fishing in the surf, crabbing from piers, and venturing out on swarays on party boats with my dad in the SF and Santa Cruz areas, with occasional trips up to Mendocino/Ft. Bragg on the north coast. I target many species from minnows to blue fin from Belize to Alaska.

Have owned 6 or seven boats in my career however, I obtained a kayak (a used Cobra Fish n' Dive) about 5 months ago. Prior to the kayak, I have fished from a small Zodiac with a motor for the past couple of years. Currently, I am trying to get used to paddling and its working OK for now.

Hope to see some of you out on the water.  :smt006

Craftsmen's Corner / Re: Washing machine firepit

I found a surplus Industrial laundromat washer and took the drum out of it. The SS drum is set up on an old Chevy rim atop a piece of fire board on my redwood deck. I use the pit for burning leaves and evening fire for family friends to gather round singing song and playing music. Been using it for over 3 years now and can easily stoke it with 8 logs.

I love the smudge pot idea above.  :smt003

I melt outside using;

- An old Coleman 2 burner propane stove.
- The pot is a 3 quart SS -mixing bowl
- Pour with a small SS pancake ladel (also used for skimming)
- Molds are held to a steel rolling table with 2 clamp on bench vises
- Lead is from my old stained glass business
