The conditions are not the best up north right now but please get your DOTY fees paid and create a user on the DOTY site so we can get you inputed and approved before you go out.

We will be having several get togethers throughout the year and plan on offering advice on techniques and needed equipment.  We can focus on certain species or just getting you out there for some fun.

You can post here or PM me or WildernessMedic if you would like to be invited out on any of these adventures during 2018.  Please let us know your experience or lack of and what type of events would be helpful in each situation.  Let us know what days work better for each of you and we will try to make this happen.

The ocean needs to lay down. Looking forward to some get togethers.

A trip down to Monterey to target sheephead and MFE would be high on my list

I'd be interested in getting together for some group dives. I've been diving 3 years out here and prefer to dive 30-50 feet, though I've been down to about 75 before. I've got a kayak if we're paddling out from somewhere.

I have not been able to make a south dive yet this year and we just got (last couple days) some decent weather up north so will definitely try to have some more get togethers.  I have been reaching out to newer divers and asking if they can come out and have tried to set up some days were I was willing to spend helping anyone wanting the extra help or just someone to go out with but wasn’t getting much of a commitment.

Until I set another date just post up on when and where you want to dive and someone will usually respond so you can dive with a variety of folks.  It works great as I am aware of several groups that were able to make it out yesterday and today.  Always better to have more people because yesterday I had a family emergency and had to spend the day in the hospital.  It’s the first time I had to back out of a dive but thankfully there were several people going so no one had to dive alone.  I was able to make it out today and had a great time and even got to dive with someone new.
