hmmm.  The two kayaks I'm currently considering for my first new purchase were a stealth 12 and a trident 13.  Kind of make me lean towards the OK, but I really do like the close in storage on the stealth.....

Have you looked at the x13's?

A little note from Malibu Kayaks from  https://www.facebook.com/YakShackLLC

Dear Malibu Kayaks Dealer

As many of you know our company has faced some very difficult challenges this past month that resulted in a temporary manufacturing delay . We are very happy to announce that these issues have been resolved and we are now back in production.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to each of you for the support and courtesies you have shown us in the last few weeks. We understand that this unexpected event not only affected our team but seriously impacted several of our dealers as well . Rest assured that as we resume our normal production our team will strive to provide you with the highest quality of service.
We also wanted to advise you that Sean Caples in no longer affiliated with Malibu Kayaks, LLC or Crack of Dawn Paddlesports LLC. Rest assured this internal change will in no way effect our ability to meet your needs or impact the viability of the company.
Thank you all again for generous support and understanding. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this development please feel free to contact me. We greatly appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future.

 Best Regards,

Anymore news from Malibu?   It seems weird that they don't even have a current website up. The one I can find does not even have the 2012 boats on it?  I can find em for sale on some sites but, don't know the age of their products.
I am really taking a hard look at an X-13 as an option if I can find one to demo.  Was concerned two years ago about their build quality and business model but, was looking like they were working it out.
