Wanted To Buy / Spare Hobie Mirage Drive GT Parts« on: December 10, 2024, 10:41:14 AM »
I've been calling around all the kayak stores around here and haven't been able to source a GT sprocket. I recently broke a mast and sprocket. The mast i'm able to source but the sprocket has been a nightmare to find. Does anyone have any spare parts laying around that i can purchase? i have an order already in with westcoastsailing but it's been a month already.

Hobie Kayaks / Re: repair of hobie mirage i14T« on: November 14, 2024, 09:03:34 AM »
Here's the support page for it with the parts guide:
https://www.hobie.com/support/mirage-i14t/ Call up one of the dealers. They will be more helpful with finding the correct part for you. I just recently broke my sprocket and mast on my mirage drive gt and called all around for parts and no one has any. They all told me hobie is trying to get their mexico plant up and it's holding off sending parts for now till they're done. It's a cluster because from the start they sucked at replacement parts that aren't warranty and now moving out of the country. ![]() 4

Hookups and Fishing Reports (Viewable by Public) / Re: Nov/2, HMB Crab early report« on: November 03, 2024, 10:18:49 AM »
Gotta be careful. When catching rockfish you can only keep them when you're using 2 hooks per line. If you already have a rockfish on your boat you cannot use more than 2 hooks so no more sabiki.

Places to Launch and Camp / Re: Overnight camping near pillar point?« on: November 01, 2024, 12:28:12 AM »
just rv/car camp with all the people off Cornell ave/Highway 1. I honestly don't think the CA police care anymore about you camping for 1 day over people camping for years on the street anymore.

Here's what I did so it was only $10 for getting the boater card, you can always use the paid education classes but why?: https://dbw.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=30826 1.Request a test from BoatingSafetyCourse@parks.ca.gov. Please include your name and current, complete home or office address. Please indicate in your request if you would like to receive your answer sheet in Spanish. 2. Send back test to California Course for Safe Boating Boating Education Unit P.O. Box 942896 Sacramento, CA 94296-0001 3. If you pass they will send you a certificate showing you completed the boating education. 4. Go to boater card website and apply for the card. You'll need to scan or take a picture of the certificate to show proof that you finished the application. Pay the $10 for the lifetime license and you're good. https://boatercard.parks.ca.gov/Application 12

Dec. 1 through Mar. 7, but only on Sat., Sun., Wed., legal holidays and opening and closing days. Only barbless hooks may be used. 2 hatchery trout or hatchery steelhead**. 4 hatchery trout or hatchery steelhead** in possession. in highschool i used to fish the Uvas creek so i'm pretty familiar with the Pajaro. 14

Did you try putting the seat on it first and trying to adjust it? I noticed you have to push in something for it to activate.
