I fished thursday, friday, and saturday mornings. Saturday was all powerboats and hot sun.No busts at all. Thursday and friday were overcast and the stripers were willing. Many busts that actually lasted long enough for me to get into. Hooked most fish on topwater plugs. Even the ones that didn't get hooked were a blast as it was exciting to see them chase the plug! I was all alone friday, more boats thursday, but they were cordial. I lost one fish when it broke off my plug on the take. Several minutes later I find my plug floating on the surface. I was glad to have my $6 plug back. Another first, a striper almost landed in my boat. I was in the middle of a meaty boil when a fish jumps out of the water right next to me. Quite a surprise!
