I'm taking out a novice tomorrow and considering Muir beach and Timber cove.  I've never fished out of Muir.  How is the fishing compared to up north?

I forgot about hoping for a combo trip before the year is over, and Muir is the spot.  I thought there is a rocky reefy area north ish from the north point.  Otherwise others can chime in.  I have no victorious solid intel on that spot.
“I’m going fishing.”  They said, “we will go with you.”

Both North and South of the cove can produce. Going North around the corner is a bit sportier but I'v picked up some quality fish around wash rocks towards slide ranch. If I go South I'll paddle around looking for good structure on the FF while trolling a line to pick up schooling RF.

I find Muir to be less productive than spots up North but a good spot for combo trips.
Good luck!

I've been wanting to try Muir but I dive Timber and there's some good fishing there too.
